Is the cost covered by Private health insurance or Medicare?
Depending on your level of cover, Private health may cover some cost of the procedure. If you would like to check with your insurer, the cost of the procedure is $350, and the HICAPs code is generally F546 or F012 . Each additional nail edge is $50 (F547).
For example, removal of both sides of an ingrowing toenail is $400.
Patients referred by a GP under a GP management plan (EPC) may be eligible for a rebate of $60.35
Will the nail grow back?
